Rangers fans gut Chris Sutton for “absolute rubbish” concerning Ibrox star

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to call-out former Celtic striker Chris Sutton for targeting Alfredo Morelos during his analysis and commentary.

The former Chelsea and Blackburn forward is widely regarded as a Celtic cheerleader and has consistently been outspoken concerning the Colombian striker.

Yet again, Sutton derided Morelos during his commentary, this time for a fairly innocuous collision with Christopher Jullien.

Whilst Morelos catches the defender, you can clearly see that he’s looking elsewhere and this was a complete accident.

Not according to Sutton, who believes Alfredo was lucky to be on the pitch following the incident, describing him as “naughty”.

It’s unsurprising given both Sutton’s attachment to Celtic and his continued negativity surrounding the striker.

But Rangers fans still leapt to the defence of their talismanic striker after the comments Sutton made on BT Sport.

It wasn’t Morelos’ only involvement in the 1-0 Betfred Cup Final defeat to Celtic either.

The Colombian striker is on fire for Rangers at the moment but couldn’t deliver against Celtic, yet again.

Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster played a blinder but Alfredo Morelos had a rake of chances to open his Old Firm account.

Not least from the penalty spot.

But whilst Morelos still needs to prove he can do it against Celtic, this footage certainly suggests the striker wasn’t guilty of any foul play in the match.

Even if Chris Sutton says otherwise.
