Rangers fans gobsmacked by Gers star's "outstanding" piece of skill

Rangers star Joe Aribo has been grabbing much of the headlines recently as the ex-Charlton midfielder cements his place in the Ibrox squad.

Now considered an important player for the team, the talented Nigerian international looks fully settled in Glasgow with his development this season clear to see.

A silky player with an exquisite touch and decent eye for goal, Aribo, 24, is becoming that confident, commanding midfield presence which could see the Gers have a major asset on their hands.

Aribo might’ve dropped to the bench after impressing in the 2-0 Scottish Cup win against Celtic, but that didn’t stop his dazzling feet grabbing the headlines in Perth.

As the Gers drew 1-1 with St Johnstone – a relatively fair scoreline over the piece even if it did take conceding a last-minute penalty to throw away two points – one piece of skill from Aribo has had the Gers fans wooing.

Subbed on in the second half for Steven Davis was 20 minutes to go, Aribo had three men round him down the Gers’ left-hand side.

Aribo majestically wriggles away from the attention of the three Saints stars and whilst the Nigerian did eventually knock it out the pitch, this little moment certainly showed his class.

Rangers fans took to Twitter to applaud the silky midfielder who continues to impress with every passing game this season:

Aribo has emerged as a key player in this Rangers side and has added a little bit more bite to his play as his game has developed in Scotland.

It’s not just in Glasgow where Aribo is regarded a hero too with the silky Nigerian international also very popular with the Super Eagles fans.
