After Rangers dumped Motherwell 5-1 at Fir Park, you’d have been forgiven for thinking Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker was wearing a black armband after the award of two penalties to the Gers.
The unpopular pundit isn’t exactly flavour of the month amongst the Rangers support and being an ex-Celtic striker, his bias has shone through on more than a few occasions.

After Rangers stumbled against Hibs last week, Walker wasn’t the only Celtic-minded pundit or supporter who was hoping for a repeat against Motherwell.
But as Rangers began to sweep the Steelmen aside Walker’s tone turned more morose and it’s something the Ibrox support haven’t let up on ever since.
The fact Rangers got two penalties – which were both penalties – has caused a bit of a storm in Scottish football despite the fact it’s the club’s first for close to a year in Scotland.
It’s the first time Rangers have taken a spot-kick in the Scottish Premiership since James Tavernier missed from the spot against Motherwell on October 27th 2019.
Ibrox supporters have already been speaking out against BBC pundit Michael Stewart for comments he made about the decisions on BBC Scotland’s Sportscene.
But the club’s supporters also picked up on the change of tone in Andy Walker’s voice during the coverage and took to Twitter to point it out:

Rangers hit Motherwell for five with James Tavernier converting both of the penalties in question, Jordan Jones getting off the mark for the club and Cedric Itten hitting a double.
Defender George Edmundson conceded a late own goal in the only blot on the copybook going into Thursday night’s game with Galatasaray.
