As Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was being unveiled to the media, Rangers fans were sharing a chuckle regarding the success of one of the Ibrox club’s resident coaches.

Technical coach Tom Culshaw is a highly thought of member of the Gers backroom team and has been a close ally of Steven Gerrard throughout the Gers manager’s coaching journey.

This week Tom celebrated earning a UEFA Pro License, the highest coaching certification available in Europe.

It’s no mean feat and Culshaw deserves huge credit for getting this far on his coaching journey and fans have been saluting the ex-Liverpool youth star.

But whilst there’s been plenty of praise reversed for our Tom, Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou hasn’t been immune from some gentle joshing from Ibrox.

Prior to ex-Yokohama F. Marinos boss Ange joining the Parkhead club, there was much conjecture regarding the Australian coach and whether he was qualified to work in Europe.

Sky Sports reported in early June that Celtic were applying for an exemption on the grounds of “recognition of competence procedure” due to Postecoglou’s 25 years in management.

Having been announced at Parkhead, this certainly doesn’t appear to have been problem or prevented the move as the Greek-born manager gets his first shot in Europe.

But that also hasn’t prevented Rangers fans joking regarding the 55-year-old’s appointment with Postecoglou technically less qualified than Tom Culshaw:

Rangers coach Culshaw isn’t the only member of the Ibrox backroom team who’s been in the press recently either.

Here are some great quotes from Michael Beale as the Rangers first-team coach spoke to the Coaches’ Voice about the club, his philosophy and Alfredo Morelos.
