Rangers fans have gone wild for new RangersTV footage of James Tavernier placing the Premiership title in the Ibrox trophy room.
The club released the clip via social media on Tuesday evening, a few days after the Gers finished off their season with a 4-0 win over Aberdeen.
Tavernier, the PFA Scotland Player of the Year and Gers skipper, was excellent in what was his 46th appearance of the season.
He produced a phenomenal 19 goals and 16 assists across all competitions, contributed to a plethora of clean sheets and finally proved his many doubters wrong by delivering silverware as Rangers captain.
The 29-year-old has been through a lot since signing for the club from Wigan Athletic in 2015 and it clearly meant the world to him to be able to hold the trophy aloft on Saturday.
In this short clip, he’s seen back at Ibrox modelling a white 55-branded t-shirt and posing for photos with the trophy, before he places it in the centre of an already silverware-laden cabinet, only letting go after a long, loving look.
Wider shots are then shown of the trophy – complete with its blue and red ribbons – in the cabinet.
The video racked up thousands of likes and hundreds of retweets on Twitter, while scores of fans left approving replies.
