Rangers fans are getting excited about rumours Croatian striker Mirko Maric is in Glasgow with a view to moving to Ibrox as further reports emerge linking the player to the Gers.
Croatian football journalist Filip Mishov claimed earlier in the week that Rangers were preparing to “ramp up” their interest in the NK Osijek striker.
Reputable online Croatian football Twitter account CroatianFootballNews have also claimed that Osijek have turned to Rangers after Maric failed to agree a deal with Monza in Serie B.
Rangers’ reported interest in the striker was also backed up by Croatian media outlet Sportske Novosti who claim sources have “already placed striker Mirko Maric in Glasgow Rangers”.
To top all off, some seriously grainy and absolutely unconfirmed footage emerged from Ibrox which has since been pounced on by excited Rangers fans.
Whilst there is absolutely no official suggestion that this is Mirko Maric, it hasn’t stopped Rangers fans jumping on the story.

Unfortunately for those excited fans there is absolutely no official suggestion Maric is in Glasgow to conclude a deal – for the time being at least anyway.
Could those on the pitch at Ibrox be representatives of Tomket Tires, with whom Rangers have just announced a partnership this afternoon?

Rangers have been linked with a move for Mirko Maric over the course of the last season, with the most recent links before now emerging in January.
