On the day when Rangers launched their new Castore home kit the club’s supporters have been shocked by an announcement made on the official Facebook page of Sports Direct.
Supporters and club influencers were led to believe that any business relationships with Mike Ashley and Sports Direct had come to an end following a statement in May.
But the Sports Direct Facebook account appeared to troll supporters with a message concerning their exclusive stocking of the kit from August 1st.

After listing Rangers’ previous titles, the post reads:
Key influencers like Heart & Hand and Four Lads Had a Dream are demanding answers from the club with supporters now feeling they’ve been duped from the get-go with Castore.

Celtic fan-led rumours of Sports Direct’s involvement with the club were originally laughed off by Castore co-founder Tom Beahon [Daily Mail].
Fans are now hoping that they’ve been duped by a hacker or rogue Sports Direct employee/troll trying to rain on the club’s parade after the launch of the home kit.
The Athletic’s Rangers correspondent Jordan Campbell has told fans to expect comment from Rangers shortly.
