Rangers finally announced the protracted transfer of Joe Aribo this week, much to the delight of the Rangers fans.
But Rangers fans have also been fawning over manager Steven Gerrard in the wake of the signing. And not just because he managed to convince the former Charlton midfielder to come to Rangers.
In a Rangers TV Joe Aribo behind-the-scenes video Steven Gerrard and Mark Allen welcome the player to the club’s Portuguese training camp.
But it’s Gerrard’s subtle touch of pouring Aribo some water which has fans smiling.

It’s a classy touch from Steven Gerrard.
Everything that the Gers gaffer seems to do is as cool as a cucumber and it’s superb to have the former England captain at the forefront of the club.
Gerrard was said to be one of the main reasons Joe Aribo signed on at Ibrox with the promise of working under the footballing legend seemingly too big an opportunity to turn down.

Rangers beat off a host of clubs for Aribo’s signature,
So much of that is undoubtedly down to the attitude and class of Steven Gerrard.
