Rangers fans destroy news outlet for Old Firm fashion faux pas

Rangers fans have been recoiling in horror at a special mixed Rangers Celtic strip released online by sports news outlet Sporf.

The popular sports site is famed for creating wacky content aimed at fans from across the football, and their latest post has certainly caught the attention of the Ibrox support.

Donning Alfredo Morelos in green and white hoops, and Odsonne Edouard in blue, Sporf released a rival kit mash-up much to the despair of supporters.

You can kind of see why.

It’s sacrilegious to see green and white on a Rangers top and the Ibrox support have not been shy in letting the digital sports portal know about it.

The Old Firm wasn’t the only rivalry represented in the new gallery, but it’s the Rangers and Celtic support who will be most uncomfortable with it.

Man City v Man Utd, Liverpool v Everton and Real Madrid v Atletico are all represented, but it’s the Old Firm image which has turned the most heads.

Here’s what the Rangers support had to say about the Old Firm kit mash-up:

Whilst green and white might never be welcome on a Rangers top, it’s not the first time hoops have donned a Gers jersey.

In fact, the Ibrox side wore blue and white hoops from 1879-1883, nine years before rivals Celtic were formed.
