Rangers fans have been raising eyebrows over the response to Celtic supporters celebrating their Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts mid-pandemic.

As Scotland prepares to go into lockdown on Boxing Day and with a new mutant variant of the coronavirus seeing travel cut off to the UK, hundreds of Celtic fans were videoed cheering their team bus into Hampden.

Scenes would then continue after the match but have yet to be condemned by the powers that be, the Scottish Government or Celtic themselves.

Far from be perturbed by the motoves behind the support’s celebrations, Rangers fans are confused as to why the public displays haven’t been challenged.

Fans were locked out of the grounds for a reason and the stupidity of these supporters puts both themselves and other people at risk.

Everyone is making sacrifices mid-lockdown and enduring this kind of behaviour is a slap in the face for those adhering to strict protocols across Scotland.

The behaviour also puts at risk football matches across the country with tournaments and competitions at risk of suspension due to unruly and uncontrollable fan behaviour.

Rangers fans are asking why there’s yet to be any condemnation of the crowds despite strict national guidelines being enforced in other situations:

As Celtic lifted their 12th domestic trophy on the bounce Rangers quietly extended their lead in the Scottish Premiership title race to 16 points.

If Rangers are to finally end Celtic’s domination of the Scottish game, they need to keep focused on lifting a much bigger prize come May.
