Rangers fans have been ruing the absence of midfielder Scott Arfield as the club counts the cost of a Scottish Cup exit to the hands of St Johnstone.
The Gers might be the Champions of Scotland but there will be no league and cup double this season after the penalty shoot-out defeat to the Saints.

Callum Davidson’s side showed huge commitment throughout the match and the Gers were not at their best in a contest which all things being equal, the Ibrox side should be winning.
However ahead of the game Scott Arfield’s absence from the squad was the most notable change from the team to play the Saints in midweek.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard would confirm the midfielder – who has struggled with an ankle injury this season – picked up a knock in training in the run up to the match.
Licking their wounds in the aftermath of the game, many of the Gers supporters would take aim at the club’s powderpuff midfield in the absence of Arfield and teammate Ryan Jack.
The two are very influential players for the club and it’s in this are that the Gers were found particularly wanting this evening:

Gers fans were left reeling as the club threw away a goal lead to crash out of the Scottish Cup at Ibrox.
The club’s supporters were in unanimous agreement regarding the result as the fans get vexed over the fact the 12 year wait for the Scottish Cup lingers on.
