Rangers fans reckon a chartered flight set to arrive from Amsterdam this afternoon [16/11/21] is evidence than a Giovanni van Bronckhorst inspired manager announcement is imminent.

The Dutch coach is the favourite to take the job at Ibrox amongst fans and bookies alike and supporters are getting the itch as the club looks to replace Steven Gerrard.

It’s clear Rangers will take the appropriate amount of time in appointing their man with the news breaking on Monday that the club had whittled it down to a three-man shortlist.

Gio van Bronckhorst is the only one to date which has been named and Oranje fever is building in Govan ahead of his potential arrival.

Fans have been literally scanning the airwaves for any updates on the new Rangers manager and some fans have found a chartered flight from Amsterdam at 2pm very interesting indeed.

Rangers fans believe flight may include new manager Gio van Bronckhorst

Whilst we obviously must caveat all this with the clear message that this could mean absolutely nothing at all connected with Rangers, it’s certainly got fans excited.

The flight is with Air Charter Scotland – a private airline provider – and is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow at just after 14:19 local time.

The same plane also left Glasgow yesterday [15/11/21] and landed in Amsterdam at 15:10 local time. Read more on Flight Radar 24.

Rangers fans are joining the dots with the suggestion being that this flight could contain their new manager:

It could be nothing, it could be everything, it could just be Rangers fans connecting the dots and getting excited about a new manager and the flight.

But it’s not the first time supporters of a football team have sprung something like this. Amateur sleuths once similarly called Hibs signing midfielder Stephane Omeonga in similar circumstances.

Any appointment would go some way to banishing the blues of Gerrard’s exit but the Ibrox manager could yet return with bids for a Rangers pair.
