Rangers fans have reacted with concern after Borna Barisic was forced off through injury during the Scottish Cup clash against Hamilton.
It wasn’t a vintage performance from the Gers at Accies, as they struggled to play with tempo in blustery conditions against a well-organised opponent.
However, while Lewis Smith did net for the hosts, a brace for Scott Arfield as well as goals from Joe Aribo and Alfredo Morelos saw the Gers eventually ease through to the quarter-finals.

With a league title race also in the balance, though, plenty of fans were concerned by an incident midway through the second half.
That’s because Borna Barisic went down injured after retrieving an unexpected pass from George Edmundson. He looked to be in some pain, at least initially, but it was unclear whether it was a muscle tweak or a dead leg-type knock.
The Croatian international was able to continue briefly, but didn’t look 100% and was soon replaced by Andy Halliday.

As one of Steven Gerrard’s key players and the club’s only out-and-out left-back, any time out for Barisic would have a negative impact, especially during a period when fixtures are coming thick and fast.
In the coming 10 days alone, Rangers have a trip to Kilmarnock and home games against Livingston and Braga.
Fully aware of the importance of the 27-year-old, plenty of Bears took to social media to voice their concerns.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
