Rangers fans clash with BBC Scotland journalist over ridiculous claims

Rangers fans have clashed with a journalist over sensational claims he made about the Scotland side and ex-Gers captain Barry Ferguson.
Stefan Bienkowski was discussing the current crop of Scotland stars against those of the last 10-15 years. In the thread, BBC Scotland journalist Bienkowski claims that only a handful of players from that era would get into the stuttering side of today.
But more than that, he claimed the likes of John McGinn and Scott McTominay are destined to surpass the likes of Barry Ferguson. Needless to say, Rangers fans don’t agree.

But to suggest Barry Ferguson or even Scott Brown, are to be surpassed by two players who have yet to achieve a smidgen of their success is desperate. For as capable as John McGinn is, you’d take Barry over him every day.
Scott McTominay too displays an arrogance at this level of which I’ve yet to see his ability match. At Manchester United, he may be a little bit more in tune with his place at the club, but with Scotland, you get the feeling he thinks he’s better than he is.
And for the record, that will likely never be at the level of Barry Ferguson. Even if he is a squad player at Manchester United.

This Scotland team are in the pits at the moment and a 2-0 win over San Marino last night has done little to ease the pressure on Alex McLeish.
Infighting has been a huge part of the problem as people point fingers instead of sourcing solutions. The Rangers fiasco of 2012 certainly hasn’t helped proceedings.
