Rangers did everything but score at Hampden as the Ibrox side passed up an immense chance to win the Betfred Cup for the club’s fans.

The hunt for a trophy goes on with Rangers yet to win any major silverware since the events of 2012 sent the club to the bottom of the Scottish footballing tree.

One of the players who has been a key part of our climb back up is Ibrox captain James Tavernier.

But many supporters are now questioning his suitability for the role after he once again failed to haul his side over the line when it really matters.

Whilst you can understand the frustrations of fans, there’s not a lot more James Tavernier could’ve done yesterday.

Whilst there are some voices berating the Rangers captain, there are also plenty backing James Tavernier up.

Should Rangers fans stand by their captain or is it genuinely time for a change at the club?
