Rangers fans have been clashing on Twitter after comments made by club legend Ally McCoist on the win over Hamilton.
Now a pundit, McCoist was doing the analysis on the BT Sport coverage of Rangers’ 3-1 win victory over Hamilton Academical.
McCoist claimed that if Goldson and Tavernier defend like they did in the Hamilton match when his old side meet Celtic, Rangers are on to a drubbing.

“If Tavernier and Goldson defend like that against Celtic, Rangers can forget about it,” McCoist said on BT Sport immediately after the game.
“The ball in from Goldson is poor, but where he ends up is bordering on ridiculous,” he said when discussing one of several lapses in the second half.
“Now, if it’s a bad pass, fair enough, we all make bad passes. But, the centre-half can’t put himself out of the game with a pass forwards.”
Many of the Ibrox club’s supporters feel that as a former player and manager, McCoist doesn’t do enough to defend Rangers in his coverage.

Despite not being on their best at New Douglas Park, Rangers managed to eek out a 3-1 victory and get three points.
Other supporters have leapt to McCoist’s defence and claim that the club’s greatest-ever goalscorer was perfectly entitled to make the claims after a shoddy defensive display.
