Rangers fans are calling on Steven Gerrard to recall out of form winger Ryan Kent for Saturday’s clash with Celtic.
Kent started the season superbly, scoring the winner on the opening day at Aberdeen and going on to win the Premiership Player of the Month award for August.
Yet, his form has dropped off in recent times and he only has a solitary assist to show for his last six league outings.
He was named on the bench for Wednesday afternoon’s 2-0 win at St Mirren, missing out on the starting XI for the first time in the league this season.
However, he made a 16-minute substitute cameo and many supporters are calling for him to return to the side for the upcoming Old Firm.
Kent has a strong record against Celtic, scoring at Parkhead twice and providing the assist for Ryan Jack’s landmark winner at Ibrox in December 2018.
Here’s a selection of comments from Twitter:
I love Hagi as much as my only Son and have been critical of Kent's form but Ryan 100% needs to start Saturday.
Always turns up against them.

They’re scared of Kent. That’s why he plays. 👍

Agreed. Kent for Hagi is the only change to make from today’s team

Rangers take a 13-game winning run in the Premiership into Saturday’s fixture and are currently 16 points ahead of second-placed Celtic, who have three games in hand.
Therefore, a win for the Gers would take them to an extremely strong position in their bid to secure a 55th top-flight title.
Gerrard is set to be without two key midfielders, but the visitors also have a number of injury concerns ahead of the game.
