Rangers fans have been calling for Florian Kamberi to start against Celtic amid the poor form of Alfredo Morelos.
The on-loan Hibs striker has routinely impressed from the bench ever since joining in January, whilst Morelos has struggled to make an impression ever since returning in 2020.
The Colombian striker has a notoriously poor record against Celtic and there are plenty who’d rather see the enthusiastic Kamberi in the starting line-up.
Against Leverkusen, the Swiss/Albanian striker was a breath of fresh air as Rangers desperately rallied to try haul themselves back into the tie.
Morelos cut a dejected figure at times but it’s hard to fault the 23-year-old for his effort in the 3-1 defeat, oftentimes finding himself the solitary press against a talented Leverkusen side.
The likes of Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent didn’t cover themselves in glory in the Europa League tie and there’s also an argument that both Morelos and Kamberi should start against Celtic.
Kamberi has proven to be an interesting, direct option either upfront or on a wing and there’s little doubt he’s played his way into Steven Gerrard’s thoughts with his performances.
