If the ignominy of Howe’s representation publicly playing down talk of an imminent move wasn’t enough for excited Parkhead supporters, Stewart’s latest move adds insult to injury.

A polarising figure amongst the Parkhead legions – who once unveiled a banner telling him to f off from the club – Stewart clearly thinks the ex-Bournemouth boss is the man for the job.
