There appears to have been some confusion surrounding the booing of Rangers captain James Tavernier at Ibrox yesterday – with the general consensus seeming to be that it was angry Motherwell fans.
The Steelmen’s support are said to have felt aggrieved after James Tavernier won a penalty for Rangers in the first half.
The suggestion is that they felt the Gers captain has dived for the penalty, with the Ibrox fans adamant they never booed their captain despite the fact he missed it.

There’s plenty of this from people who attended the game but the fall-out from yesterday has intensified the discussion about some people’s approach to James Tavernier.
Steven Gerrard has said that the moans and groans don’t help, calling on the support to back their captain [RangersTV].
There’s little doubt that Tavernier deserves every credit for pulling his socks up yesterday and eventually delivering the winner to Filip Helander.
The entire penalty thing will be looked at but there can be absolutely no questioning the commitment of the flying right-back.
Ibrox can be an unforgiving place to play and it takes some serious courage to continue plugging away in such a tumultuous atmosphere.
With so much riding on this season, the support are clearly feeling the pressure and want our players to ride games out better.

But we got three points, and that was in part down to the performance of our captain.
This over-zealous criticism must stop because even if the Rangers fans didn’t boo James Tavernier, the behaviour of some supporters has even the most ardent fans questioning if they did.
