The fall-out from the ill-fated Celtic trip to Dubai rumbles on as Rangers fans have been asking for the SFA as the row continues between the Parkhead club and the Scottish government.

Neil Lennon took aim at the powers that be during the week as he railed against the treatment of Celtic in the aftermath of their trip to Dubai following a positive test which seen 13 players and three staff forced into isolation.

Calling the situation “political” and claiming there was an “agenda” against Celtic in the media [Glasgow Times], the conspiracy-laden conference has now caught the attention of deputy first minister John Swinney.

Swinney described Lennon’s comments as “absolutely appalling” as the Scottish government condemn the reckless comments of the Celtic boss.

“I’m at a loss for words,” said Swinney [BBC Sport].

“I said a few weeks ago I thought it was a really bad idea that Celtic decided to go to Dubai for this trip. I didn’t think it was a particularly great signal.

“I have no ill will to Neil Lennon whatsoever, but I think his comments in this respect have been absolutely appalling.”

Rangers fans have naturally been following the entire thing throughout as they look to turn the screw on their rivals with the Gers having the upper hand in the title race.

Here’s how the Ibrox supporters reacted to John Swinney’s comments as the fall-out continues over Celtic’s Dubai trip and Gers fans ask for comment from the SPFL and SFA:

For some Rangers fans, Lennon’s comments brought the game into disrepute in Scotland and they’re asking why the authorities haven’t yet intervened.

Steven Gerrard was charged for comments made about referees and Alfredo Morelos earlier in the season whilst Lennon has been given carte blanche to rail off conspiracies in a press conference.
