Rangers fans are asking why Celtic aren’t coming under more scrutiny for a Covid-19 rule breach involving full-back Jeremie Frimpong.
The Scottish Sun are reporting that the young Dutch full-back, 19, flew a young woman into Scotland from the United States in mid-October before she failed to self-isolate and stayed in his flat.
The report claims that Tyjah Bowens, 22, arrived in Scotland on October 9th and failed to self-isolate, later posting pictures out and about in the Glasgow area.
The two are also pictured in close quarters in reports which clearly show that Frimpong broke his Covid-secure bubble to mix with the young American.
Frimpong would then seemingly put his teammates and fellow players at risk in Scotland in Europe, with the full-back playing all five Celtic matches since the visit.
That includes the Old Firm derby on the 17th of October – the first match after he met with Bowens.
According to the same report, an SPFL source is claiming that “the events reported do not breach the SPFL’s Covid-19 regulations”.
Rangers fans have raised their own doubts about that considering the full-back actually went on to play in SPFL fixtures and are asking why Celtic and Frimpong aren’t under the microscope:

The news also comes after Rangers pair George Edmundson and Jordan Jones were suspended by Rangers for attending a party of at least 10 people in Glasgow’s West End.
Rangers won’t face any SPFL sanctions for the incident given the breaches have not directly affected a match – but with Frimpong playing in games is the case different here?
