In the immediate aftermath of Rangers’ stunning 2-1 win at Celtic Park this weekend it was “unofficial captain” Borna Barisic who earned the adulation of the Ibrox support.
The Croatian full-back is undoubtedly the club’s most improved player this season and the talented left-back provided two assists to help win the game for Rangers.
He’s taken the plaudits for his delivery and performance in this match, but there’s another little gesture which has had Rangers fan fawning in the aftermath.

The former NK Osijek captain didn’t even flinch after Celtic equalised and is standing with his head held high and geeing his teammates up.
If anything symbolises the immense progression of Borna Barisic then it is this small clip of the Croatian funnelling passion into his teammates.
There have been questions over the mentality of the players on the pitch throughout the last few years but this once again highlights the depth of leadership in the Ibrox side.
Barisic – a player who only a few months ago looked to have no future at Ibrox – is now one of the club’s biggest assets, mentally and technically.
Needless to say, the Ibrox support appreciated the full-back’s gesture.

Rangers fans will be hoping that the Croatian’s good form doesn’t lead to the full-back being bid for by some of the top teams around Europe.
