Rangers fans on Twitter were loving an old clip that has resurfaced showing Ally McCoist having some fun at Davie Cooper’s expense before presenting the Ibrox icon with the one thing he was always short of – a right leg!
McCoist was one of the speakers at Cooper’s testimonial dinner and showed the wit that would make him a regular on TV for years to come away from football.

The legendary Gers goal machine tells how he and his team-mates were struggling to come up with the ideal gift for Cooper ahead of his testimonial dinner before presenting him with a mannequin’s right leg, bedecked in Rangers sock and football boot.
On technical ability alone Cooper could rival any Scot to play the beautiful game.
From Baxter, Johnstone, Law, Souness, Strachan – the lot – Cooper certainly has a place amongst them. He only earned 22 Scotland caps and never won a European trophy, but that doesn’t matter. Least of all to Cooper.
Cooper stuck by the club in one of the most challenging and barren periods of our history.
Fans on Twitter loved seeing the old footage again – with one saying McCoist had comic timing better than most stand ups.
