Fan-reaction to Kyle Lafferty and his performance against Hamilton hasn’t gone down particularly well.
The Northern Irishman is currently being caned by supporters for a dreadful display against Accies. He was perhaps more unlucky than poor yesterday, but it was yet another game without a goal for the big forward.

Lafferty now hasn’t scored for Rangers since September, in the 5-1 home rout over St Johnstone. That was one of just four goals he’s managed to score since signing on in Glasgow over the summer from Hearts.
Many fans want him to succeed, but so far they aren’t seeing it from him. Supporters, therefore, took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the summer-signing:

Criticism not unfair
Firstly, it’s important to recognise that Lafferty is doing all he can for Rangers. He’s not as lazy as his game perhaps suggests, but the truth is that he’s a very limited footballer.
Supporters knew that when he signed from Hearts in the summer. Despite that, they still hoped he would be a success and do the club a turn as he did during his first spell. So far, however, he’s failing to take his chances.
Alfredo Morelos is now back from suspension, and will likely feature in the double-header against Hibs over the next week. Therefore, you have to wonder just when Lafferty is going to get another chance to impress supporters from the start.

Dundee and Hamilton should’ve provided the perfect opposition. Despite having a plethora of chances this afternoon, however, the big forward failed to take one.
If he wants to tie down a long-term future at Ibrox, he has to start showing more. Many would’ve acknowledged that he’d come on well as a player over the years between his two Ibrox spells. Now, however, he looks just as poor as he did during large parts of his first spell.
Simply put, he needs to start showing more. Fans are getting restless, and his chances will be decreasing. Now is the time for Lafferty to step up, before Gerrard swiftly looks elsewhere.
