Rangers fans have a new song for striker Kemar Roofe as the club’s stand-in frontman brands his St Mirren hat-trick “bucket list” material.

Much of the Gers’ hopes this season rest on the shoulders of the striker after a season-ending injury to Alfredo Morelos and his treble in the 4-0 win over the Buddies has ignited fan hopes.

El Bufalo is such an enormously influential part of the team and supporters had seen a team with a blunt edge against both Old Firm rivals Celtic and Europa League rivals Braga.

Fans tuning into the weekend’s win over St Mirren might’ve heard Rangers fans belting out their new song for the striker as Kemar Roofe looks to salvage the Ibrox club’s campaign.

A version of the chant was uploaded by Rangers fans group the Broomloan Collective to Twitter.

Other fans also uploaded clips of the song being given an airing in Paisley.

The words to the Kemar Roofe song are as follows:

“Kemar Roofe, super Kemar Roofe,

“When he’s going forward, he’ll be scoring goals for Rangers,

“From his half, or a penalty, you can count on Kemar, to secure another Rangers victory, victory.”

According to Follow, Follow contributor OohAhHuistra, the chant is also to the tune of Ottawan track Hands Up (Give me your Heart).
