Rangers fans have adopted an upbeat 80s classic as the club’s unofficial anthem as Steven Gerrard’s side go for an historic 55th league title.
You might have heard the 1985 classic Live it Up by Mental as Anything blaring around Glasgow or on Twitter in recent days with Gers fans adopting the song as a good feeling builds around the club.
The adoption of the song – which includes the line “hey yeah you with the sad face, come up to my place and live it up” – appears to have come from the Union Bears.
After Celtic fans group the Green Brigade plastered images of famous Celtic goals v Rangers around Glasgow in the run up to the last Old Firm, the Union Bears responded in kind.
Connor Goldson would net a double to secure a 2-0 win for Rangers in what was one of the most routine Old Firm victories in a generation.
The Rangers fans group would then take to the streets to plaster an image of Goldson celebrating one of his goals around Glasgow, before uploading a video with Live it Up as the soundtrack.
Since then the song has become synonymous with the Rangers support and particularly after the weekend’s results, the club’s fans have been blaring it in every direction.
Should the club go on to lift silverware expect this song to become a big part of the celebrations with Rangers fans already taking to Twitter with the track over the last few days.

If Rangers can continue to build momentum and go on to lift trophies this year, it probably won’t be the last time you hear this 80s anthem around Glasgow.
