When it comes to betting, it can be a pretty frustrating game. Just ask Rangers fan Jack Henry.

The Gers supporter has been embroiled in a social media row with popular betting company Bet 365.

If you haven’t heard about it, the supporter put a bet on for Ryan Jack to score before 30 minutes. At a 6/1 bet, a £25 bet was placed. For those who aren’t aware of how betting works, this should’ve raked in a total of £150 for the Gers fan.

That’s because the clock read 29 minutes and 59 seconds as the ball hit the net. Instead, however, Bet 365 have tried to claim that the clock on Sky Sports was wrong, and that their own clock stated that the goal was scored after the 30-minute mark.

You can see the tweet below where the Rangers fan was done in.

Not the first time this has happened to football fans when gambling

This is hardly the first time supporters have been done in by fine margins such as this.

Betting companies are notoriously poor for doing what they can to get out of paying big money to winners. However, this seems particularly tedious from Bet 365.

Any fan watching a football match is entitled to believe that the match clock is the one on their screen. For betting companies to start making up their on clocks opens up a can of worms in the future when it comes to bets like this.

A short argument embroiled between the pair, with the supporter now adamant that any future correspondence is done in public.

Jack’s goal yesterday was his first for the club, and earned Rangers their first ever win over a Brendan Rodgers team. It put Rangers level on points with Celtic going into the New Year.

Here’s hoping that’s a big consolation to Jack, and that he can get the ridiculous betting issue solved ASAP.
