Rangers fan fury after the defeat to St Johnstone boiled over as clips emerge of Ibrox captain James Tavernier being grilled outside of McDiarmid Park.
Whilst it’s not 100% clear what was said in its entirety, the Ibrox skipper fronts up the frustrated Rangers fans who’d waited to voice their displeasure following the 2-1 defeat.
The first clip appeared to see a fan gutting Tavernier about the contribution of Scott Arfield and Glen Kamara, whilst other clips show Rangers fans grilling James about not coming to face them following the loss.
“One player came and applauded the fans mate,” says a disgruntled fan.
“Week after week we support you. Money after money and every single player went down the tunnel apart from one.
“Come and applaud us. Appreciate us. You play for Rangers Football Club, come and applaud us, don’t walk down the tunnel. One player did it, Colak. He’s been here less than a season and he understands us more.”
Rangers fans gun for James Tavernier after St Johnstone collapse
It’s symbolic of the downturn in trust and patience amongst the fans at Rangers and the timid Ibrox squad certainly don’t look like they’re capable of coping with the pressure.
Well, unfortunately for them, it’s not going anywhere and if they are not up to the task then it’s time to be moved on and Rangers to start afresh.
Too many members of this squad have bottled it in the title race over the last four seasons and we cannot have a repeat of our post-winter break form with yet another Premiership title in danger of slipping away.
This Rangers squad have collapsed time and again after an extended break and with seven points already separating the Ibrox side and Celtic the signs are ominous.

No wonder the Rangers support is angry because what these players – James Tavernier included – are serving up has been a pile of hot garbage all season long.
The Ibrox support deserve better and the club is badly letting them down from top to bottom, from the boardroom to the dressing room.
