Rangers secured a passage into the Europa League quarter-finals last night following a 4-2 aggregate victory over Red Star Belgrade and it has given Scotland a boost following a major UEFA update.
With Rangers’ victory over the Serbian champions compiled with Feyenoord’s win over Partizan knocking them out of the Conference League, Scotland has secured the ninth spot on the UEFA coefficient table which guarantees the league winners automatic progression to the Champions League group stages.

Yet again Rangers are carrying the nation to continental success and enabling other sides the chance to gain regular European football, it will be interesting to see what thanks the Ibrox side get.
