The Daily Record reports that Rangers’ Europa League opponents Royal Antwerp are eyeing a high-profile managerial appointment.
The two sides are set to face off across two legs in the competition’s Round of 32 in February and Antwerp are currently managerless.

They recently brought a dire run of domestic form to an end with consecutive league wins, but their manager, Ivan Leko, left earlier this week to take over at Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.
The search is now on for a replacement, with the club no doubt keen to give the new boss plenty of time to settle in prior to their crunch clashes against the Gers.
The Daily Record claims that the current frontrunners are Marc Wilmots and Mark van Bommel, both of whom are high-profile individuals.
Wilmots managed Belgium at the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016, before taking charge of the Ivory Coast and most recently, Iran.
He hasn’t had a club management job since leaving Belgian side Sint-Truiden in 2005.

Van Bommel is less experienced as a manager, with an 18-month stint at PSV that ended in 2019 his only major role to date.
However, he enjoyed a hugely successful playing career, winning league titles in the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Italy and reaching the World Cup final with the Netherlands national team in 2010.
Steven Gerrard will likely be watching on with interest to see who he’ll be locking horns with in the New Year.
Meanwhile, Rangers defeated St Mirren on Wednesday afternoon to exact some revenge for their League Cup exit in Paisley earlier in the month. Here are our Player Ratings from the game.
