Rangers’ Europa League rivals Bayer Leverkusen are set to be affected after the German football authorities decided on a Bundesliga suspension which will come into effect next week, as reported on Twitter by journalist, Chris Williams.
The German club defeated Rangers 3-1 in the first leg of their Europa League Last 16 tie at a packed Ibrox on Thursday night.

However, it seems they will soon be out of action.
In an update provided by the league association and circulated by journalist, Chris Williams, on Twitter, it’s been made clear that this weekend’s fixtures will go ahead, but that a suspension will come into effect from Tuesday 17th March until 2nd April.

Leverkusen travel to Werder Bremen on Monday night for a game that was already scheduled to be played behind closed doors.

This update suggests that that fixture will go ahead, but that several upcoming games will be postponed, starting with their trip to Borussia Monchengladbach the following Sunday.
Peter Bosz’s side currently sit fifth in the Bundesliga table behind Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and the aforementioned Borussia Monchengladbach.
It seems football will soon be halted across Europe, with Spain and Italy already suspending their respective top-flights, while in the UK, the EFL and Premier League are set to follow suit [Pete O’Rourke Twitter].
