Thelo Aasgaard appears to be a likeable person inside the Rangers dressing room despite being there only for a season.

The Norway international moved to Ibrox last summer from Luton Town, but has struggled to adapt to life in Scotland.

In 33 league appearances, the 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided three assists, failing to nail down a regular starting berth.

Emmanuel Fernandez and Tochi Chukwuani laud Thelo Aasgaard’s goal compilation update

Aasgaard took to Instagram on Thursday to post a video compilation of all the goals he scored from the 2025/26 season.

Despite the Light Blues not winning any silverware and succumbing to the title pressure late on in the campaign, the Denmark international felt that it was in good taste to make the video public.

Would you want Rangers to compete in the Europa League or the Conference League next season?

Money will be more in the Europa League, but the Conference League gives you a better chance of a European trophy…

His teammates Emmanuel Fernandez and Tochi Chukwuani reacted to the post and appeared to cheer his decision.

Fernandez referred to him as the Marvel superhero “Thor” while Chukwuani sent him a heart emoji.

All three of them moved to Ibrox last summer and are understood to have cultivated a strong friendship outside the dressing room as well.

Was Aasgaard’s update in bad taste given Rangers’ season?

After finishing third, most, if not all, Rangers fans would like to put the recent season in the rear-view mirror.

It was a campaign that started horribly and ended horribly, and was only good for bits in the middle when it looked like a title challenge was on the cards.

To see Aasgaard celebrating personal achievements, which were basically a handful of goals, is undoubtedly going to rub supporters the wrong way.

Who is the worst-ever Rangers manager? 🤔

We think it cannot be anyone else except Russell Martin!

What made things worse was that both Fernandez and Chukwuani commented on it, as they delivered the impression that they do not care about how the season unfolded.

Aasgaard has not allowed comments from fans as he knows that the reaction is not going to be positive.

The 24-year-old may even be doing this as he could be looking for a move away from Ibrox in the summer, and this could draw the attention of some clubs looking for an attacking midfielder.

It remains to be seen what the club’s stance is on a sale.
