Rangers duo set to miss Hamilton clash through injury

Rangers are set to be without midfield pair Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack for tomorrow’s Premiership clash with Hamilton – and the Scottish Sun report Arfield could be set for a spell out of action.

Both players picked up injuries in the Scottish Cup defeat to Hearts on Saturday and will need to be replaced for the visit of Accies, although Jack is set to be fit to face Ross County at the weekend.

Losing two key players would usually be a big loss but with the Gers in poor form, domestically at least, it might actually give Gerrard’s side a bit of freshness.

Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Steven Davis will likely make up the midfield tomorrow night, although Gerrard could opt to bring Ianis Hagi into a more central role instead.

With an Old Firm and the Europa League clashes with Leverkusen rapidly approaching, hopefully, Arfield isn’t out too long after suffering a hamstring injury – with Gerrard’s press conference later today likely to give more of an idea.

The Gers need a win over Hamilton to keep any faint title hopes alive and the absence of two key men could be an opportunity for the likes of Aribo and Kamara to show why they deserve to be back playing regularly for Rangers.
