The club announced a landmark new kit and retail deal with emerging English brand Castore in May 2020.

It was Castore’s first partnership with a football club and although that meant that Rangers were their number one priority, it’s fair to say there were a few teething problems early on.

However, most issues appear to have been resolved and the majority of supporters are delighted with the look of the current first-team strips and the range of merchandise on offer, as is reflected in incredible sales figures.

“Ten months in, it’s been a remarkable period for us and Castore as an organisation,” said Bisgrove [RangersTV]. “The numbers in which merchandise has been bought through the official channels has been phenomenal. We’re close to half a million products being sold across strips, training wear, lifestyle, accessories and the champions collection of products.”

While sales have soared following the clinching of 55, Rangers’ partners have been working behind the scenes to finalise next year’s kits and Bisgrove believes they’ve nailed the designs.

“I’ve seen the kits for next year and they’re absolutely stunning,” he added. “It’s obviously our anniversary season, so that’s brought some inspiration in terms of the design of those particular kits.

“We’re really excited to launch those, probably around June. So, in time for the summer holidays, we’ll launch the home kit.”

There’s always a lot of anticipation around kit releases and supporters will no doubt be delighted with the confirmation that new strips aren’t far away.

The webinar provided real clarity on a number of topics and there’s a sense that the club is continuing to make strides on and off the field with the likes of Bisgrove and Wilson overseeing operations.
