Rangers defender Filip Helander might’ve helped the Gers to a record-breaking six clean sheet in a row at the start of this season.
But even the big Swede was powerless to resist as the great Cristiano Ronaldo reached a century of international goals for Portugal.
Helander started against the defending European Champions in Stockholm but was on a hiding to nothing after teammate Gustav Svensson was sent packing in the first-half for a second yellow card.
Ronaldo, 35, would then score from the resultant free-kick to make it 100 goals in the red of Portugal.
The legendary striker would then round off the scoring with his 101st goal in the second half, a superb inside of the boot placed finish into the top corner of the Swedish net.
It’s the second time in under a week this sparkling Portugal side have dismantled a Rangers player’s side after the Iberian nation thumped Borna Barisic’s Croatia 4-1 in the week.
Nonetheless, this would’ve been an extraordinary test for Helander and one which the big Swede will relish as he comes up against arguably the greatest player in football history.
Ronaldo most recently moved to Italian giants Juventus in 2018 for £99.2m despite being 33 years of age.
The striker has gone on to win two Serie As and a Suppercopa Italia during his time in Italy after trophy strewn spells at Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is Portugal’s most capped player ever with 164 caps with his record-breaking 101 goals also more than double that of second-place Pauleta (47).
