Rangers are not expected to make anymore Deadline Day signings despite the fact three of Michael Beale’s target positions remain unfilled.

The Gers had secured the signing of Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell earlier in the window.

Rangers also added a Deadline Day switch for Belgian midfielder Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege.

But as things stand those will be the last deals being done at Ibrox as the January window rolls to a close.

That’s according to the likes of Jordan Campbell at the Athletic, who doesn’t “envisage more business being done tonight”.

Rangers insiders Heart & Hand also believe that the Ibrox side’s Deadline Day incomings are done, with Michael Beale satisfied with his squad.

This comes despite Rangers “working on a few” with any fresh additions to wait until summer.

Rangers Deadline Day rolling to close

Overall Rangers fans will be happy with the club’s business as Deadline Day rolls to a close.

Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin both add freshness and quality to the first team squad.

But it’s clear Rangers are still on the hunt for more talent with Michael Beale previously claiming a centre-back, goalkeeper and new number nine remain on his wishlist.

This comes after the Rangers gaffer got his midfield man with Nicolas Raskin.

“I would like us to add a midfielder to the squad that’s powerful and can run,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].

“I would like to have another centre-half and we will be looking at the goalkeeper situation in the summer. We will be looking for another number nine.

“Are we going to get all that done in the next 48 hours? There’s more time in the summer. It’s got to be the right players but nobody wants to strengthen this squad more than Ross, the board and myself. It’s in our interest to build a stronger Rangers than we have right now.”

Whilst he won’t be joining Rangers on Deadline Day, could one of those players be Josh Maja?
