The five Rangers Covid-19 breachers would technically be free to play Livingston in the Scottish Premiership next Wednesday as three of them returned to first-team training.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that because the cases cannot be fast-tracked by the SFA they’ll be available for selection against David Martindale’s side.

The report still expects the SFA to ban all five players, but because the case will not be heard until after the match they could all realistically travel with the squad to West Lothian.
That’s not to say that they actually will.
The report also points out that the likes of Nathan Patterson, Calvin Bassey and Bongani Zungu could even be brought back into the Europa League squad for the match with Royal Antwerp.
Again, that’s not to say that is even remotely likely to happen.
Alongside Rangers kid Dapo Mebude and Brian Kinnear, the three first-team stars attended a house party in Glasgow’s west end which was broken up by police.
Originally shamed by Rangers fans after Steven Gerrard unveiled the situation to supporters via a video on the club’s media channels, things have changed in the last 24 hours.
All three first-teamers – that is Zungu, Patterson, and Bassey – released public apologies to the club’s supporters via RangersTV where they sincerely held their hands up over the situation.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard and sporting director Ross Wilson also sent an update to supporters revealing they’d accepted their apologies with the trio returning to first-team training.
Here’s how Rangers fans reacted to the trio’s apologies with the club’s supporters mixed over the situation at Ibrox.
