Rangers have history with Ligue 1 giants Lyon and the two clubs are set to do battle once again in the Europa League this week.
There is one sticking point, however.
Whilst Rangers have recorded some historic results against Lyon, the Gers have never bested the French outfit on home soil.
With a fully-packed Ibrox getting ready to welcome Lyon on Thursday evening, Rangers fans have previously seen their side downed by the likes of Karim Benzema and Bruno Guimarães in the past.
And this time around the Olympique Lyonnais have a new hero in their ranks who will look to stun the Ibrox crowd in the Europa League.

Lyon pump £125m into Europa League campaign
On the outside, this is not as fearsome a Lyon side as Rangers have faced in the past.
Indeed, the Rhǒne Valley outfit’s stuttering start to the Ligue 1 season is testament to a team in transition.
But within the walls of the Groupama Stadium, it’s a very different story.
Having finished an unacceptable 6th place in Ligue 1 last season, Lyon lost 13 games and threw the guts of €150m (£125m) into the squad this summer (Transfermarkt).
Splashing the cash to sign the likes of Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala from Premier League Nottingham Forest, Lyon have also brought in creative talents like Georges Mikautadze (FC Metz) and Saïd Benrahma (West Ham).
But one of the club’s most high-profile arrivals, who joined the club on loan this summer, stands out more than all the rest.
Rangers could face Premier League icon
Rangers fans with an interest in the English Premier League will be well familiar with former Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
The 31-year-old Ivory Coast international made his name at Selhurst Park before moving to Manchester United as a youngster.
Returning to South London due to a lack of opportunities at Old Trafford, Zaha ended an eight-year run in the Eagles first-team when he moved to Galastaray in 2023.
But like so many British-based players before him, Zaha struggled in Turkey and only one year on from the move signed a loan deal in France this summer.
Still without his first goal for Lyon, Zaha played in the Ligue 1 club’s weekend win over Toulouse and will have his eye on a start in Glasgow as he returns to the UK.
Rangers fans know all about the winger’s star quality and will be hoping Zaha doesn’t join the ranks of Lyon stars who’ve picked up a Euro victory in Glasgow.
Don’t bet against Wilfried Zaha having an impact either; the winger netted 90 goals and laid on 61 assists in 458 games for Crystal Palace.
