Rangers director of commercial and marketing James Bisgrove expressed his delight as the club confirmed a new partnership with DAM Health.

The company have come on board as ‘associate partners’ and will provide mobile testing sites when supporters eventually return to Ibrox.

According to their website, they are ‘one of the leading providers in the UK for Covid-19 testing solutions.’

“Rangers is delighted to join forces with DAM Health and welcome them on board as an Associate Partner as we move into our 150th anniversary season and, importantly, as supporters return safely to Ibrox,” said Bisgrove [Rangers.co.uk].

“As we move forward from the global pandemic and international travel returns, DAM Health will be providing its services to provide crucial support on several fronts. We look forward to working closely with the DAM Health team and activating their partnership during next season and beyond.”

Bisgrove has been extremely busy since being appointed at Rangers in 2019, striking a range of new commercial partnerships.

A scroll to the bottom of any article on the club’s website shows that the Gers now have links to an impressive number of different businesses and fields, and DAM Health’s logo will soon be added to the associate partner section.

There will, of course, be a financial aspect to this deal, but it’s also set to have very practical benefits, with testing likely to be part and parcel of sporting events and travel for some time to come.

“We are thrilled and honoured to be working with the historic and prestigious football club, Rangers, and look forward to developing a thriving relationship with them,” said DAM Health’s medical director, Professor Frank Joseph [Rangers.co.uk]. “At DAM Health we have a range of test methods to help get fans safely back into Ibrox and get the iconic stadium full of noise and energy again.”

In other news, former Rangers fan favourite Daniel Candeias has found a new club after his deal expired at Gençlerbirligi.
