The Rangers coin throw incident at the Tony Macaroni Arena yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace.
Forget the whataboutery from Celtic Park in 1999 or any other excuse – this is inexcusable. It’s also shocking, violent and has no place among the Rangers faithful. Or in football for that matter.
Every true Rangers fan agrees. Whilst they might get it wrong from time to time, the officials are just doing a job. This is a childish, violent way to behave at a football match and it is being quite rightly condemned. Whoever it was will probably get a ban too.

The Club are looking for the fan behind the Rangers coin throw and it’s thought he will be banned from games in the future.
Not only is it a lowlife move, but it also paints the club in a very bad light. Many news outlets and journalists are desperate to pigeon hole and attack the club and this just gives them ammunition. Not to mention the outpouring from our rivals on social media. Whoever it was has let himself, the club and the supporters down. Why should they have to defend the team they support because of muppets like that?
Rangers’ fans have taken to Twitter to voice their outrage.
It was just part of a terrible day for Rangers yesterday.

If every fan, or even the majority, was the same, there would have been thousands of coins thrown today. There wasn’t because people like the person who did that today aren’t representative of true football fans. He or she has no place at any Rangers game now or in the future.

Didnt see the football today.
At the end of a week where I've been complaining about the undue reputation of Scottish football fans, a rangers supporter splits a linesman's head with a coin. You're a fucking moron pal. A complete and utter idiot, I hope you're banned for life.

Throwing objects at officials is not Rangers standard and brings embarrassment on our club You need to ask if attending football is good for you
