Speaking to RangersTV, Michael Beale has made exciting comments about the sharpness of Rangers striker Kemar Roofe following Saturday’s win over Kilmarnock.
The 27-year-old got off the mark in Light Blue in the 50th minute of the fixture against Killie, turning in a Borna Barisic cut-back to set the home side on their way to three points.
It was his third appearance since joining on a four-year contract from Anderlecht earlier in the month in a transfer worth a reported £3.5m [Scottish Sun].
Beale has praised the attacker’s impact so far and says there’s a lot more to come in terms of his performance levels.
“He has bought a real freshness to it”, the coach told Rangers TV. “We are very happy; the squad are happy because they know the pedigree of him as a player and as a man also. So, he has come in and bought real freshness and a lot of flexibility.”
“He is not set to one position, Kemar is sort of a hybrid forward. He can play anywhere across the front line. It is nice to see him get off the mark.
“He is obviously slightly behind everybody else pre-season wise, but every single day you see him getting a bit sharper and yes, it is a special moment for him personally.”

During Roofe’s Gers debut in the 3-0 win over St Johnstone at Ibrox earlier this month, his rustiness was there for all to see.
The ex-Leeds United and Anderlecht star hadn’t played since December due to a combination of a calf injury and the global health crisis, so it was always going to take him a while to get up to speed.
The signs are encouraging so far, though, and it should be exciting for Gers fans that Beale is seeing more from the forward every day in training.
Roofe is near certain to start Saturday’s fixture away to Hamilton and he’ll no doubt be looking to get on the scoresheet once again, as he sets about repaying his multi-million-pound transfer fee.
