Rangers look set to secure the signing of Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo, according to reports in this morning’s Scottish Daily Mail (15/06/2019).
The 22-year-old midfielder is available on a free transfer with his contract expiring at Charlton.
And it appears the lure of playing at Ibrox under Steven Gerrard is proving too strong for the goalscoring midfielder.

It’s an exciting transfer for Rangers fans. Aribo is young, English (which means he can go for more money) and has bags of talent.
Former Crystal Palace and Wales star Jonny Williams said it is “mad” that Aribo was playing League One last season.

A marauding, energetic midfielder, Aribo is not afraid to shoot and will add much-needed goals from our midfield. That’s if he does wind up joining the club. Anything can happen.
If Rangers manage to snap Charlton midfielder Aribo up, it also means that the club has pipped rivals Celtic to his signature. Not to mention Aston Villa, Southampton and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Many of the papers led with Celtic’s interest, but it’s Rangers who appear to have pounced.
That means we’ve got one up on our rivals before the season has begun. It also means we’ve chipped away at their allure and have proven we can rival them for signings.

Nothing is signed, sealed or delivered yet. But should we manage to get this signing over the line then we’ve every right to be excited.
Perhaps even more so going by the calamity happening over in the east end.
