Rangers Champions shirt update as Castore act following 'phenomenal demand'

In an email to supporters, Castore have provided an update on the Rangers Champions shirt.

Shortly after the club’s 55th top-flight title was confirmed on Sunday afternoon, the club unveiled a special Champions home shirt which was available to pre-order.

The classy design has ‘Champions 55 20/21’ embroidered in gold in the middle of the chest, while the club crest and the Castore badge are both also gold.

Only 10,000 shirts were initially made available and unsurprisingly, they were snapped up in double-quick time.

An initial email was sent out by the Rangers Store at 3:30pm on Sunday, the club tweeted out the pre-order link moments later and by 6pm, all 10,000 strips were gone.

Plenty of Bears will have missed out on the offering whilst celebrating, but they may be relieved to hear that Castore have since made a second batch available [Rangers.co.uk].

“Following phenomenal demand, we are working hard to get a new batch of 2020/21 Champions Home Shirts available – these will be available for delivery from June 1st and an extra 10,000 shirts have been ordered,” read a Castore statement contained in a Rangers Store email on Sunday evening.

The first-team will wear the special shirts on the final day of the Premiership season and those who managed to pre-order one of the first 10,000 are expected to receive their shirts ahead of that fixture.

The second batch won’t be out for delivery until after the season has been completed, though, and perhaps that explains why they haven’t sold as quickly. At the time of writing, all sizes from S to 5XL were still available.

Rangers fans have raved about an Ibrox staff member for a superb interview from Auchenhowie after the title had been secured.
