Rangers captain James Tavernier claims that he isn’t carrying an injury – which means the Ibrox skipper must just be bang out of form.
The Gers right-back was seen struggling in the warm up ahead of last week’s win against Motherwell and this appeared to back up rumours online that Tavernier was carrying a knock.

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst would then respond to these claims in the press by defiantly saying that James Tavernier is fit and is categorically not carrying an injury.
This is a claim backed up by the Rangers skipper, who was facing the cameras following the Rangers team’s woeful performance in the 1-1 draw with Livingston.
“I’m fine,” said Tavernier.
“For the first goal I could have done a lot better but I always try my hardest on the pitch to help the team.”
Rangers captain James Tavernier claims he isn’t carrying an injury
Whilst Rangers captain James Tavernier might say he isn’t carrying an injury, it’ll do little to appease Ibrox supporters who’re wondering why their ordinarily influential skipper has been so lacklustre as of late.
The Ibrox wing-back is a regular feature bombing up and down that right-hand side but gone this season is that same eagerness to get into the box and finish moves.
The Gers captain also isn’t providing goals at the same rate and without the same quality expected with plenty of Rangers fans convinced there is something up with the player.
If James Tavernier is telling fans he is fine then we have to take his word for it but in claiming this the Tav is suggesting something else instead.
If the Ibrox skipper is not being hampered by a problem that needs treatment, then it means James Tavernier is one of several Rangers players who are just bang out of form.
Meanwhile, predictable Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst was found out by an opposition Premiership manager.
