Rangers already look to have found a replacement for Allan McGregor in Jack Butland – now, we believe Michael Beale should move on to Nathan Redmond.
The Scottish Sun claim that Butland is close to joining Rangers on a free transfer from Crystal Palace.
Now – as Ryan Kent prepares to leave Ibrox when his own contract expires – we believe Beale should target Redmond as his replacement.
Rangers should move for Redmond
Well, the England international – a winger like Kent – becomes a free agent this summer when his contract with Besiktas comes to an end.

Redmond – who is still just 29 – has been in decent form for the Turkish giants this season with six goals and six assists to his name across all competitions.
The Birmingham-born forward enjoyed a strong career in the Premier League, racking up 28 goals and 26 assists in 264 Premier League appearances, with his form earning him one cap for England.
Some may scoff at the idea of Redmond joining Rangers, as a move to the Süper Lig in Turkey often signals the decline of a professional footballer.
However – as you can see in the footage below – the Besiktas No.15 still looks very sharp, and his talents could definitely benefit Rangers as they prepare to lose Kent and also Alfredo Morelos.
Redmond is actually very good friends with Butland having risen through the youth ranks at Birmingham together, so it is not unrealistic to suggest that the glovesman could convince his pal to join him in Glasgow.
In some ways, Redmond could have a similar impact to the one Scott Sinclair had at Celtic when he joined them at the age of 27, after fizzling out in the Premier League.
Sinclair scored 62 goals in 167 appearances for Celtic, so there is definitely value in taking those who have previously shone in the Premier League but are starting to fade in England’s top-flight.
We aren’t suggesting that Redmond becomes a marquee signing for Rangers.
Ultimately, in a summer where Beale is going to have to be very busy and spend some money, a free transfer for the experienced winger alongside another free swoop for Butland would be a strong start.
