Rangers' Bury loanee Jordan Rossiter falls to disappointing defeat

Bury loanee Jordan Rossiter was powerless to resist as his side fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Swindon Town in League Two.
It means the promotion-chasing outfit have slipped to third in the table as they look to climb the divisions in England.

Rossiter – who has been on good form down south – played 90 minutes as Swindon took all three points. Bury also ended up with ten men.

The Liverpool Academy graduate joined Bury on deadline day in the search of game time. First signed by Mark Warburton in 2016, Jordan Rossiter’s time at Ibrox has been plagued with injuries.
After Steven Gerrard came into the club, there was real hope he could inspire young Rossiter to the form that earned him comparisons with the Rangers manager earlier in his career.

Whilst he has struggled to do that, the Bury move has given him the chance to get minutes under his belt. Rossiter has made ten appearances for the League Two outfit since joining in January.

And whilst the Shakers might’ve tasted defeat yesterday, they’re still on track for automatic promotion.

Jordan Rossiter has just over a year left on his deal at Ibrox. Hopefully any success in England stands him in good stead in Scotland. Can the 22-year-old come back next season and leave an impression on the side?
