Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has provided an injury update over injured winger Ryan Kent after he was subbed off on his second debut for the club last week.
The talented winger, 22, pulled up holding his hamstring 40 minutes in after starting Saturday’s 3-1 win over Livingston at the weekend.
Despite fear from the likes of Barry Ferguson that Kent could face up to a month and a half out [PLZ Soccer], Gerrard suggested Kent will only be on the side-lines for a matter of weeks.
“He (Kent) is improving. He is now pain-free, walking around,” said Gerrard, as he previewed tomorrow’s match with Feyenoord.
“I still think he will be a couple of weeks away, he has got a hamstring problem which is obviously a tricky one to deal with.
“They are injuries you can’t really rush so we will be patient. He is improving.”
As Gerrard does acknowledge, these kinds of injuries are tricky and there is no guarantee of a fixed time where the player will return to the fold.
But the good news is that the former Liverpool winger is on track to return in the next couple of weeks.

It’ll come as a major boost to Rangers and Rangers fans with Kent only just re-joining on a potential £7.5m deal [Sky Sports] on deadline day.
Ryan Kent himself is very eager to make an impression at Ibrox and will be disappointed to have experienced this injury hiccup so early on in his full-time Rangers career.
