The fact that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard can call choosing between Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos and veteran forward Jermain Defoe a dilemma is further evidence of how far Rangers have come under the Scouser.
Over the last season, Alfredo Morelos has developed into one of the biggest assets Rangers have had in the last decade.
His performance against FC Midtjylland displayed a growing maturity and unselfishness in his game too.
But the last time Rangers played Hibs – coincidentally the only time they beat them last season – Jermain Defoe led the line.
The 36-year-old forward was leading the line whilst Alfredo Morelos served a suspension for a clash with Scott Brown at Parkhead.
During that period Defoe proved that he was a more than capable deputy for Alfredo Morelos, and even staked his own claim for a shirt.
Going into the match with Hibs, Gers boss Gerrard is faced with the dilemma of choosing between the two to lead his forward line.
Morelos – on fine form and in need of a league goal – is the obvious choice. To disrupt him when he’s beginning to find his feet as a real force for the side seems counterproductive.
By the same token, Jermain Defoe will be chomping at the bit to make an impression on the side this season.

Whilst it is a dilemma for the Rangers boss, these dilemmas are the good ones to have.
And Gerrard will be safe in the knowledge that whoever he picks he can rely on them to produce.
