Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been sending his regards to Liverpool and Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish after the former striker tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to Liverpool’s official website, Dalglish was admitted to hospital for the unrelated treatment of an infection which required intravenous antibiotics.

However, the former Scotland striker was subsequently tested for coronavirus and it came back positive despite the ex-Merseyside manager showing no symptoms.
He has since been kept in hospital as a precaution.
Dalglish was Gerrard’s manager between 2011 and 2012 and remains a gigantic presence in the background of the Anfield club.
Being a Liverpool fan and having been close to Dalglish throughout his career, Gerrard took to Instagram to send his best wishes to the legendary forward.
Gerrard shared an image of Dalglish with one of his daughters alongside the caption “get well soon King”.
Dalglish has asked for his own family’s privacy to be respected during this period as he “looks forward to being home soon”.

Despite playing for Celtic for years Rangers fans will be quick to send their best wishes to the striker who also holds the record of most Scotland goals (30) alongside Dennis Law.
Kenny Dalglish won 20 major honours with Liverpool across a 13 year playing career with the English giants.
